Dr.Krishnappa Suresh acquired his PhD degree from University (BDT) College of Engineering, Davanagere, under KuvempuUniversity during March 2010. He has two Master Degrees to his credit, one in Power System during 1985 and second in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems during 1989 both from University of Mysore. He was graduated from University of Mysore in 1982. He has served in different organizations since 1985 in various capacities as Lecture, Assistant Professor and Professor. He is having 30 years of experience in Teaching and for one year he worked in Industry. He has served as the Principal of R.L.Jalappa Institute of Technology, Doddaballapura, Bangalore for the period of three years. Presently, he is serving as the Principal at SDM Institute of Technology, Ujire. He has organized two International conferences in Instrumentation Technology and many National conferences. Also he has participated in many reputed National and International conferences. His fields of interests are Signal and System, Digital Signal Processing, Multi-rate Signal Processing, Image Processing, Spread Spectrum Analysis, Random signal processing and Statistical Signal Processing. So far he has guided 80 UG students’ projects, 20 PG students’ projects and 7 Projects are being guided by him for PhD students. Honeywell has awarded him as the best innovative project guide for the current year. He has presented 10 National & 2 International Papers. Also he has one International journal publication to his credit. He is the Chairman, B.O.E. of ECE Board, VTU for the year 2015-16 and the Member of Steering Committee of the VTU Consortium for the year 2015-17. He is the life member of Indian society for Technical Education (ISTE), Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and a member in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). His responsibilities include permanent affiliation activities, Industry Institution interaction, NBA, Development of Student Information system software apart from routine Academic/Administrative activities.
