About
The department of Basic Sciences and Humanities, started in the year 2007, consists of faculty belonging to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Kannada. There are 17 faculty members with 5 Ph.D. holders. Dedicated research centres in Chemistry and Physics were started in 2016 and 2017 respectively. The department of Chemistry has received a grant from VGST for carrying out research in Corrosion Studies.
Physics and Chemistry classes are held for the first year of the course while Mathematics continues upto the second year.
