The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a “Git and GitHub” workshop for fifth-semester students on 26th September 2026. The workshop covered Git fundamentals, repository management, essential commands, branching, merging, conflict resolution, and GitHub workflows. Students gained practical experience in version control, collaboration, pull requests, and code reviews, strengthening their industry-relevant software development skills.

Mr. Anish Kalmady, a second-year ECE student at SDM Institute of Technology (SDMIT), Ujire, secured first place in the Taluk-level Dasara Football Tournament held at Madanthyar on September 13, 2026. With this victory, he has been selected to represent the taluk in the upcoming Dakshina Kannada District-level Dasara Sports Meet.
