World Water Day Guest Lecture – March 18, 2026
On March 18, 2026, the Department of Civil Engineering, SDM Institute of Technology (SDMIT), Ujire, organized a guest lecture on “Counting Every Drop” in observance of World Water Day.
Prof. Vishwanatha Bhat from SDMCET, Dharwad, delivered an insightful session on water conservation, sustainable water management, and the hydrological significance of the Western Ghats.
The lecture also highlighted challenges related to water distribution losses and community-based conservation initiatives.
