Series of Events at SDMIT, Ujire – Celebrating the Pattabhisheka of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade
On the occasion of the Pattabhisheka of our revered President **Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade**, SDMIT, Ujire organized a series of events focusing on health, awareness, and social responsibility.
**Blood Donation Camp (Oct 16, 2025):**
Organized by the Youth Red Cross Unit in association with SDM Multispeciality Hospital, Ujire. The camp was inaugurated by **Dr. Megha Nayak**, Pathologist, and collected **170 units of blood** from staff and students.
**Career Awareness Program (Oct 17, 2025):**
The Department of EEE conducted a session on *“Job Opportunities in Public Sector Companies”* by **Mr. Subrahmanya Bhat**, Retd. General Manager, ONGC, Mangalore.
*Mime Show on Environmental Protection (Oct 17, 2025):**
A group of 12 students performed a mime act highlighting the importance of protecting nature and reducing pollution.
**Health and Hygiene Talk (Oct 15, 2025):**
**Mrs. Anvesha Jain**, Dietician, SDM Multispeciality Hospital, Ujire, delivered a talk on maintaining good health and hygiene practices.
