SDM Institute of Technology commenced a 9-day Summer Camp 2025 for high school students on 15-4-2025. The event was inaugurated by Prof. S.N. Kakathkar, Academic Coordinator for SDM Edu. Society. Prof. Kakathkar emphasized the prominence of such camps in fostering students’ career and the optimal way of utilizing summer vacation. ‘National Road Safety Month’ was observed under SDMIT ISTE Chapter in association with Belthangady Traffic Police and ARTO, Bantwal on 18th and 19th Jan. 2024. On this occasion, Mr. Dharmappa M.N, ASP, Mangalore and Mr. Arjun H.K, PSI, Belthangady addressed the students. The program aimed at sensitizing citizens and road users about the challenges of road safety, awareness about traffic rules

The college NSS unit organized Yuva Saptah on 17/01/2024. Smt. Vatsala, Trainer, Heartfulness Meditation Center, Dharmastala enlightened students and staff with thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. The talk was followed by meditation practice.

Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, and renowned film actor and director Mr. Rishab Shetty attended the 'Karunadu Kanda Darshanikara Gatavaibhava', a floodlight show played by staff and students in the evening and conveyed their best wishes.
