Valmiki Jayanti was celebrated at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute of Technology, Ujire, on Monday, October 7.Dr. Raveesh Padumale and Dr. G. P. Hegde spoke on the occasion. A summer camp for high school students was inaugurated at SDMIT, Ujire on 15th June 2025 by Prof. S.N. Kakathkar, Academic Dean, SDME Society. The camp attracted 30 students from various schools and featured engaging sessions on computer assembling, solar energy fundamentals, basic electronics, idea generation, career guidance, and soft skills.

In celebration of World Earth Day and World Book Day, a book exhibition was organized at the College Library on 22nd and 23rd April 2025. The event was coordinated by Dr. Rajatha, Librarian.
