A 3-Day Faculty Empowerment Programme on Embedded Systems, IoT and Robotics Applications organized by ECE from 18th to 20th November 2021. Mr. Krishna Chaithanya, Embedded Systems Engineer, EdGate Technologies Pvt Ltd., trained the faculty members.

A General Health Checkup Camp for female students was held in association with NSS unit on the occasion of National Unity Day on 31st October 2021. Dr. Jyothi S, SDM Hospital, shared the health tips and spoke on the importance of maintaining good physical as well as mental health to keep a person fit and energetic in any workplace.

On account of International Women’s Day (8/3/2021), SDM Institute of Technology, Ujire organized a talk on ‘Women in Leadership’ by Mrs. Manorama Bhat, Consultant, Community Wealth Building (CWB), Tokyo. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal, presided over the programme. Dr. Rajatha, Librarian coordinated the program. 

National Mathematics Day was observed at SDMIT, Ujire on 22nd December, 2020 and paid tribute to the mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan on his birth anniversary. A quiz and a webinar was organised by the department of Mathematics, and Dr Vidya K, HoD narrated Ramanujan’s life, struggles and his contributions to mathematics.

Mr. Niranjan, Vice-President & Head Technology, L&T Construction, interacted with the students of Mechanical and Civil Engg. branch on 3/3/2020, and gave tips on ‘Industry Readiness and Job Opportunities’.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was organized for 6th-semester students of the EEE and ECE department from 27th Feb. 2020 to 29th Feb. 2020. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Sundara Sherigar, Assistant Director, MSME, Govt. of India, Mangalore. Entrepreneurship is a necessary skill for the 21st century and SDMIT is training students in this direction.

Students of SDM Institute of Technology, Ujire have bagged two ranks in BE, VTU Exams. Vilas V from Electrical and Electronics has bagged the second rank and Prarthana Shanbhag from Computer Science has bagged the 5th rank. SDMIT congratulates our proud achievers.
