Clean India Hackathon was held at SDM Engg. College Ujire  on 19th Saturday Octoberin association of Dilithe Company, Bangalore. The theme was ' Waste Segregation'. 'Geeks of Green' team of SDM Engg. Department of Civil Engineering in association with Ramco Cement Ltd. and Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) Mangalore Centre conducted ‘Techno Week 2019’ technical talk program on 27-09-2019. Dr. Ajith Hebbar and Dr. Poorna Chandra Pandit delivered talks on Modern Trends in Airport and Pre-Stressed Concrete respectively.

A 2- Day workshop on ROBOLUTION using Arduino Microcontroller board was held at department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, SDMIT, Ujire, on 28th and 29th Sept. 2019. Students constructed various projects like Bluetooth Controlled Robot, Home Automation Design, Interfacing of Sensors, RFID, etc.

Mechanical Engineering organized a two-day training program on ‘Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing’ for fifth semester students on 20th and 21st of Sept 2019.
